Congratulations • Oaklands Lake, New Ross winners of one IPB Co-operation Ireland Pride of Place Awards, Special Awards

Wexford took a top prize in the annual IPB Co-operation Ireland Pride of Place Awards, which were announced on 14th November at a glittering gala event in Ennis Co. Clare.

Oaklands Lake in New Ross won one of the Special Awards announced on the night so a huge well done to everyone involved at Oaklands Lake.

New Ross Coarse Angling Limited, was established in 1997 by a group of angling enthusiasts who have given their time and efforts to create this unique amenity. We particularly wish to involve and encourage the youth of the town to participate in outdoor activities and to appreciate the profusion of plant and wildlife that abound within the lake and the adjoining woodland.

IPB Pride of Place is an all-island competition that acknowledges the work that communities are doing all over the island of Ireland.

The competition focus is about people coming together to shape, change and improve daily lives in their communities.
